SerialPort X is now a scriptable application written to replace version 2.2, which is a scripting addition. As of Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave) Apple is no longer allowing 3rd party scripting additions. This application has the same functionality as v 2.2, so if you are using a version of Mac OS that is older than 10.14, there is no need to switch from version 2.2 to this version. Scripts used with v2.2 will have to be updated.

Allows access to standard serial ports from AppleScript. Includes AppleScript examples. Requires Mac OS 10.6 and later. Version 3.0    64 bit.    Free.

For Mac OS 10.5 - 10.13: Version 2.2 Is a Scripting Addition to allow access to an internal modem or standard serial ports from AppleScript.    32 / 64 bit Universal Binary.

For Mac OS 10.1 - 10.4: Version 1.1.1.    Universal Binary.
